Tennis star Andy Roddick will host Charles Fazzino's opening reception--featuring
the unveiling of his official painting for the 8th annual
Andy Roddick
Foundation
Charity Gala--at Wentworth
Gallery at the Town Center Mall in Boca Raton, FL on
Friday, December 5th from 6pm-9pm. Charles Fazzino's original painting will be
auctioned at the Charity Gala scheduled to be held at The Polo Club of Boca Raton
on Saturday, December 6th from 7pm-10pm. All proceeds will benefit
The Andy Roddick Foundation.
In 2001--a year after turning pro--Andy began the Andy Roddick Foundation--
a charity dedicated to "Helping Children Today for Tomorrow." The goal
of the Andy Roddick Foundation is to improve the quality of life and
enhance educational and economic opportunities for all children based
on the principles of respect for family, education, and morality.
According to Blanche Roddick, Co-Chairperson for the Foundation,
"Charles Fazzino is one of the most popular artists in the world, and we
are very excited that he will be our official artist for the 8th Annual
Andy Roddick Foundation Charity Gala." She further added, "I know
Andy is thrilled to be hosting Charles Fazzino's art opening at Wentworth
Gallery, which will feature the unveiling of his official 3-D painting which
will be auctioned at our Gala the following evening. We are confident that
his artwork will raise significant funds to support the important
charitable work of Andy's Foundation."
Charles Fazzino stated from his studio in New York, "I am a huge
tennis fan and I am very honored to have been selected to create the
official artwork for the 8th Annual Andy Roddick Foundation Charity
Gala. Most importantly, I feel very fortunate to be in a position to help raise
funds for Andy's foundation and support his significant efforts of helping children."
