Super Bowl 3D Thursday

Highlight for today…..spent the morning at the WISH-TV set at The Huddle in the Super Bowl Village. Andi Hauser, the host of Indy Style, was very excited to see my artwork and the studio audience was equally excited. I even had the opportunity to meet singer/songwriter Edwin McCain who was appearing on the show after me. What a nice guy. Then it was off to the NFL Experience to sign more posters and artwork.

Tomorrow, join me at The Huddle for my interactive art workshop … i’ll be working with everyone who turns out, children and adults alike, to create a special Super Bowl XLVI artwork. My artwork and original helmets will all be on display and i’ll even sign a few posters! Hope to see you there!

Super Bowl 3D Wednesday

Another whirlwind day in Indy….started the morning with a before-sunrise appearance on WRTV – 6. Welcomed by hosts Chris Pisano and Grace Trahan and did a great spot with them with Lucas Oil Stadium looming in the darkness behind us. It was EARLY…but we had a great time and everyone was in good spirits. Then it was on to the NFL Experience….signed lots of posters and mini prints and met a lot of people…some of whom knew my work and many of whom were seeing it for the first time. I love that.

Tomorrow, there’s more television and another stint at the NFL Experience. Will post more pics tomorrow. Have a good night everybody!

Tuesday in Indianapolis

Spent my first day in Indy today….flew in this morning and went straight to…well…the Art Museum! Just fantastic….more on that later…

Spent my afternoon along Georgia Street in the Super Bowl Village and at the NFL Experience. I cannot believe how many people are out and about and it’s only Tuesday! I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like this weekend. The excitement is incredible. I also visited the Huddle and saw my Super Bowl collection hanging there. The Indianapolis Arts Council did a fabulous job decorating the space.

Don’t miss my interactive art workshop at The Huddle! Come join us on Friday from 12-2. We’re going to create a great piece of Super Bowl artwork….together! It’s free and open to the public, so c’mon down! We’ll be in the old Nordstrom’s store in the Circle Center Mall right off Georgia Street inside the Super Bowl Village.

All Super Bowl All The Time!

Are you ready for some football!!!????

It’s time…it’s here…we’re ready….are you? I’m heading to Indy tomorrow for all the Super Bowl festivities. Here’s a rundown of where I will be when….

I’ll be spending lots of time at the NFL Experience Memorabilia Show at the Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium. I’m not sure exactly the times i’ll be there but i will be there for part of each day on Wednesday through Saturday. Look for my exhibit in the memorabilia show located in the sponsor pavillion.

On Friday, I will be leading a Master Interactive Art Workshop at The Huddle in the Super Bowl Village from 12-2. Come work with me. We’ll create a Super Bowl artwork together!

On Saturday night, i’ll be signing posters at the annual Taste of the NFL.

I’ve been watching what’s going on in Indy…and receiving reports from my staff on the ground there and rumor has it that Indianapolis is more excited about hosting a Super Bowl than ANY city EVER. They are going all out and showing their football pride everywhere. It should be an amazing time! Hope to see you around town.

Collectors Mailbag – Pop Art Pit Bulls

My cousin sent me a link to this blog post on a site called The Unexpected Pit Bull a couple of days ago. The blogger, Jeannette Louis Smith profiled the pop art paintings of artist Dean Russo. I just LOVE them, so thought i would share. Dean’s work is wonderfully colorful and vibrant and uplifting…he sends a wonderful message about this often mis-understood breed. I hope you enjoy them!

We Had a Special Visitor Before the Holidays

Right before the holidays, we had a special visitor in the studio – all the way from London – Jeannine Saba, the Creative Director of Diplomat Magazine. It was nice to finally meet her in person after having worked with her for months on a pop art cover for the magazine’s recent issue on Taiwan. Jeannine spent several hours with us and we showed her every aspect of the studio. I could tell you more, but i think i’d rather let her do the “talking.” You can read about her visit and her interview of…me….on her blog.

Visit JeannineSaba.com to get her take on what my studio is like. I’m looking forward to working with Jeannine again during the Olympic Games when i visit London in August. We are working on some special events together and i will keep you posted as they develop.
