Official Artist of the 75th Anniversary of Little League®, Charles Fazzino,

to Visit Williamsport, Pa., for Educational Workshops

Nationally-celebrated pop artist Charles Fazzino, has created officially licensed works of art for 14 NFL Super Bowls, nine MLB All Star Games, the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi as well as the last seven Olympiads, and many other major sporting and cultural events. On February 25, 26 and 27, through the support of the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania, he will be holding a series of educational workshops for students and teachers from Lycoming and Sullivan County school districts in Pennsylvania to work on the official artwork for the 75th Anniversary of Little League®.

Tuesday, February 25
12 – 3:30 p.m.

Professional Development with fifth grade art teachers. Mr. Fazzino will lead a workshop for teachers from Lycoming and Sullivan County school districts. The teachers will then lead their fifth grade classes to construct their own piece of Pop Art to be displayed at The Gallery at Penn College on the campus of the Pennsylvania College of Technology from July 10 to August 24.

Wednesday, February 26
10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.

“Fazzinopalooza” Assembly for fifth grade students, teachers and administration officials. Mr. Fazzino will give an interactive presentation on the world of Pop Art to all those gathered.

Location: Community Arts Center, Williamsport, Pa.

 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

High School Student Master Class. Mr. Fazzino will bring his educational workshop to high school students from Lycoming and Sullivan County school districts. Details of an art contest for high school students in these counties will be released at this time. More information will be available following the event.

Thursday, February 27
10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Little League 75th Anniversary Official Artwork Construction, in which select fifth graders from the schools in Lycoming and Sullivan Counties will work with Mr. Fazzino to construct the original artwork that will be dedicated at the 2014 Little League Baseball World Series and be a permanent fixture in the World of Little League: Peter J. McGovern Museum and Official Store.
