Contemporary Pop Art Meets the Westchester Philharmonic

This weekend, the Westchester Philharmonic will celebrate its Spring Gala with an event called “The Art of the Violin.” The Philharmonic, under the direction of the legendary Itzak Perlman, will perform its final concert of the season on Sunday, May 17th at the SUNY Purchase Performing Arts Center. After the concert, the gala will take place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in White Plains. I have painted a 3-D violin that will be auctioned at the event…i’m excited to be involved because I wholeheartedly support the Philharmonic’s efforts throughout the Westchester County community. Not only do they bring world class entertainment to the area, but they also support an award-winning education program that services over 2,000 elementary school students annually! As i have been talking about the importance of arts education in this blog, i’m happy to be participating in an event that supports the arts in this way. You can find out more about the Philharmonic and purchase tickets for these events at http://www.westchesterphil.org/.
