My first piece of his work was a framed print of the SuperBowl in Houston. I read an article in the Houston Chronicle and there was a picture of that print. My son had volunteered to work the half time show for the game. When I saw that picture I had to have it. I really wanted to keep it myself but I gave it to him. I didn't think I would be able to get my hands on one. I found it in a small Gallery on Postoffice Street in Galveston, Texas. I parked my car and purchased it. I was late returning to work but I really didn't care, I just couldn't believe my good fortune.

This past summer I was in Cooperstown, NY with my brother, and heading to the Cosby, Stills, and Nash concert, stoped dead in my tracks again. The Art Gallery, was full of his work and he was to appear the next day, but we had a plane to catch the next morning and didn't get to meet him. My brother and I both made purchase's and left them there for him to sign. I'm pretty sure the gallery was Stenhaven's. He has one piece I would give my right arm for and it's " A Taste of Texas". I've had to settle for the puzzle. I live in Galveston, Tx. and we were hit very hard by Hurricane Ike, and he did such a great job on the State of Texas, but so many of the things he captured from our City are no longer there, they were destroyed by the hurricane. Just memories now, but his picture brings what was back to life for me. I love Charles Fazzino and his fabulous art.

I have been lucky enough to see Charles at art shows or signings. However, seeing Charles working on a large canvas piece of Yankee Stadium while at the All-Star Game Fan Fest this year has been most impressive to me. Watching how he is able to make his work come to life so easily and naturally is astounding. Although, when given the opportunity to speak with him about his art, he is so humble and gracious. I hope all of you get to see this amazing artist at work…it will leave an impression you won’t soon forget!
