New York, NY (May 31, 2011)— Famous 3-D Pop Artist Charles Fazzino, an official licensee of Major League Baseball Properties, will create a large, original 3-D artwork live at the MLB Fan Cave in NYC. The work will be based on his commemorative artwork for the 2011 All-Star Game taking place on July 12, 2011 at Chase Field in Phoenix, AZ. The kick off at the Fan Cave is Tuesday June 7, 2011.

Progress will be made on the work every Thursday in June beginning at 2 p.m. Fans will have the opportunity to watch it take shape, with the finishing touches being done on June 30.

Celebrity and player visitors at the Fan Cave between June 2-30 will have the opportunity to contribute to the piece by creating artistic elements that Charles Fazzino will incorporate into the final collaborative work. The finished artwork will be sold to benefit MLB’s Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program.

On Tuesday, July 5 the final original artwork will be unveiled live in the Fan Cave at 11AM, after which Charles Fazzino will conduct a free All-Star Game poster signing for the first 200 fans on line. He will also have on hand the rest of his baseball art collection.

Charles Fazzino stated from his studio in New York, “I am honored to be working with Major League Baseball to create original artwork for the MLB Fan Cave. I’ve been creating All-Star Game artwork since 2003, and I’m excited to unveil this year’s version live in the Fan Cave. Having the players contribute to the work is going to make it an interesting, one-of-a-kind piece.”
