I was recently asked by NBC to create two cartoons titled “Where in the World is Cat Lauer?”. The cartoons are loosely based on the Sam Katz character I illustrated for Frank and Vida Radice's children's pop-up book “Sam Katz on the Loose”. The two cartoons appeared in the NBC newspaper insert, “The Peacock”, part of American Profile. They were also posted on petside.com. I thought you may like to see them….Frank, Vida, and I are thinking about creating a cartoon series for Sam next. What do you think? By the way, “Sam Katz on the Loose” is still available for sale on Amazon.com.

Hi Charles,
I currently own 3 of your pieces & the book you illustrated Sam Katz on the Loose. Do you think you will be working on any other 3D books?? My 2 yr old grandson absolutely loves sitting with me & “reading” the book. Although we have read the book hundreds of times, he still manages to find something new in it each time.
Please tell me another one will be coming soon!!
Hi Debi,
Thanks for the comment. Actually, the authors of Sam Katz on the Loose (Frank and Vida Radice) and I are kicking around some new concepts for Sam…Will keep everyone posted through this site!
Tell your grandson i said “HI!”
