This incredible event, spearheaded by my friends Joe Sano and Father Francis is a wonderful evening of food, art, and auction. Every year, Joe collects “doodles” – or drawings –  from an incredible group of celebrities. The drawings are all exhibited during an elegant buffet cocktail party during which they are all auctioned to the highest bidders.

 

Joe has amassed an incredible collection of these doodles and always has some amazing ones to auction – i’ve seen celebrities like Leroy Nieman, Carol Burnett, Martin Sheen, Ray Romano, John Travolta, Ashley Judd…and so many others…represented at this event. I have NO idea how Joe has built this collection but it is really awesome. I know it’s been through a lot of hard work.

 

This year, is the 10th anniversary of the Doodle event, so Joe asked me to do a mini print to commemorate the occassion. I was proud to do it. Pictured below are both my Doodle for this year and the mini print.

 

This year, the event will take place for the last time in the Crystal Room at Tavern on the Green in New York City on Thursday, November 5, 2009. The Ticket price includes dinner buffet, open bar, Doodle preview, silent auction, followed by the live auction. Come join me there! It’s for a wonderful cause. Father Francis and Joe Sano have done so much for so many….i’m proud to be able to contribute to their efforts.
