My cousin sent me a link to this blog post on a site called The Unexpected Pit Bull a couple of days ago. The blogger, Jeannette Louis Smith profiled the pop art paintings of artist Dean Russo. I just LOVE them, so thought i would share. Dean’s work is wonderfully colorful and vibrant and uplifting…he sends a wonderful message about this often mis-understood breed. I hope you enjoy them!

We Had a Special Visitor Before the Holidays

Right before the holidays, we had a special visitor in the studio – all the way from London – Jeannine Saba, the Creative Director of Diplomat Magazine. It was nice to finally meet her in person after having worked with her for months on a pop art cover for the magazine’s recent issue on Taiwan. Jeannine spent several hours with us and we showed her every aspect of the studio. I could tell you more, but i think i’d rather let her do the “talking.” You can read about her visit and her interview of…me….on her blog.

Visit JeannineSaba.com to get her take on what my studio is like. I’m looking forward to working with Jeannine again during the Olympic Games when i visit London in August. We are working on some special events together and i will keep you posted as they develop.

New Fazzino 3D Pop Art Website To Launch in October

We’ve been hard at work building a new 3D pop art website interface that will be launched at the beginning of October. The new site will be even more interactive and feature an innovative 3D Art Gallery and upgraded slideshows of Charles Fazzino’s work. It will be easier to navigate and the content will be more accessible. Blog postings will appear on the home page, as well as featured releases, a cool slideshow demonstrating the 3D effect, and all the latest news!

5th Year Celebration of Charles Fazzino’s Art Featured at the Daytime Emmy Awards!

I’m excited and honored to have created the Daytime Emmy Awards program cover art for the 5^th year in a row! This will be a very special year in Las Vegas. The broadcast will feature a tribute to Oprah Winfrey, and Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to game show hosts Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek.

I love Wayne Brady, who will be hosting! I’m looking forward to seeing the artwork on the program cover. Be sure to tune in for the 38^th Daytime Emmy Awards on CBS on June 19^th!

Collectors Mailbag – William H. Holmes Elementary School

My friend Gail does some substitute teaching in the area and a few weeks ago, she was subbing for Ms. Cordero-Turner’s class (Hello 6C!) at William H. Holmes Elementary School in Mount Vernon, NY. She took them some some of my pop art posters because they were interested in the artwork. Well….lo and behold, i received back the nicest envelope of thank you notes! I wanted to share some of them with you. As always, I applaud the work of all of these aspiring artists!!! Click on these pictures to see them in detail.
