"Forever Marilyn" Collection - Fazzino's Tribute to Marilyn Monroe

Charles Fazzino began painting Marilyn Monroe many years ago, incorporating her into original artworks and montages. In 1998, he released his first limited edition silkscreen serigraph tribute titled "Forever Marilyn." It was a seductive collection of images themed around her most famous roles and poses. A limited number of art pieces in the release were embellished beyond the typical Fazzino deluxe print, with the red dress of the centermost Marilyn being hand appointed with more than 500 red Swarovski Crystals. In 2003, he followed up with a more playful, relaxed Marilyn Monroe lounging on the couch in front of a black and white period piece on Hollywood and New York. Again, art collectors demanded the gemstones on a limited run of the art prints and in Warholian fashion, Marilyn was available in any one of four different dress colors, creating a quadryptich of sorts.
