New York, NY - Visitors to Bryant Park on Monday, November 19th had the chance to be artists for a day.
They helped kick off the creation of a three-dimensional canvas mural derived from
a new painting by Charles Fazzino called "A Legacy of Service to New York." The painting
celebrates American Airlines' 80 years of service to the Greater New York Community.
Actress Marlo Thomas, National Outreach Director of St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital, was also on hand to unveil the canvas mural and add her own brushstrokes.
When completed, the mural will be auctioned to benefit St. Jude Hospital.
"We are thrilled to partner with American Airlines once again for the St. Jude
Thanks and Giving campaign," said Thomas. "The proceeds from the auction of
Charles Fazzino's wonderful canvas will help St. Jude fulfill its mission of saving the lives
of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases." Auction site details will be released
at a later date.
