Gettin’ Down in the Subway…1970’s NYC Original

dimensions: 48" x 12"

medium: 3D mixed-media on canvas

A nostalgic look back at New York City in the 1970s when riding the subway was always an adventure. Graffiti was born, crazy characters roamed the platforms, and you had a good story to tell after every ride. Stylistically, the piece hearkens back to Charles Fazzino circa 1980’s when his work was less polished, more painterly, less detailed, and he utilized a more subdued color palette.
