The 9/11 Memorial & Museum commissioned Charles Fazzino to create an official artwork for the 20th anniversary of 9/11. The artwork preserves the visual history of the terrible events of 9/11, and celebrates the resilience of New York City, its people, and the communities that stood together to overcome this moment of darkness.
In Augutst, 2021, Charles Fazzino took part in a very special unveiling ceremony of the artwork he was commissioned to create for the 9/11 Memorial & Museum on the twentieth anniversary of 9/11. He was joined by a very special group that included 9/11 Memorial & Museum CEO Alice Greenwald, NY Mets All-Star Pete Alonso, New York Yankee Great Bernie Williams, Former NY Mets owner Jeff Wilpon, Former Chief of NYPD Joseph Esposito, and Former Commissioner of NYPD Salvatore Cassano.
Toys for Tots is just one of the many meaningful projects Charles Fazzino has been honored to be part of. From commemorating national events to creating public installations and cultural collaborations, every project is a celebration of storytelling through art.
