On September 14, 2026, NBC New York’s Sports Desk covered the SBH Health System kickoff reception at Avra Rockefeller Center. The evening previewed the 2026 New York Team of Heroes Gala, which will be held on December 7 at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers. New York Giants offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa and New York Jets running back Braelon Allen were among the cohosts, fresh off Week One victories for both teams. The highlight of the night was the unveiling of the official gala artwork by Charles Fazzino, which places New York City inside a giant red apple. The gala hopes to raise $1.8 million for SBH Health System and St. Barnabas Hospital, a crucial safety net hospital in the Bronx.
