In 2024, the United Way of Broward County Florida asked Charles Fazzino to create a special 3D artwork to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the organization. As a regular traveler to Florida and someone who considers South Florida a second home, Fazzino took on the project without hesitation. In response, he created this commemorative artwork titled United Way: 85 Years of Giving, a vibrant 3D artwork that encapsulates the spirit and history of the organization while highlighting the diverse communities within Broward County.
“I love South Florida and Broward County. I’ve been coming here for many years, especially during my early days as an artist. Even though I grew up in New York, my career really kicked off in South Florida with all the art shows I did there over the years, so it holds a special place in my heart and it’s like a second home. That’s why I wanted to work with United Way on this piece. They are an important organization that is doing a lot of good things for the community, and they have approached a very big milestone that is worthy of celebration. It’s truly an honor to be able to support their cause and make my contribution to a community I adore.”– Charles Fazzino
A Permanent Display for the Community
To say Fazzino’s commemorative artwork for United Way was well-received is a bit of an understatement. United Way of Broward County even went on to wrap their building in Fazzino!
